Response Codes

Overview

Merely receiving a positive HTTP status code of 200/OK for a payment request does not guarantee that the payment has been successful. It is possible for the transaction to be declined or cancelled for various reasons. If this occurs, the response provided will include a response_code with a value Refused or Cancelled along with a description field which outlines the reason for the failed transaction. The underlying cause of the refusal is predominantly determined by the authorisation response code obtained from the card scheme or issuer, commonly referred to as the Raw Acquirer Response.

We advise cardholders to promptly contact their issuing bank for further information in the event of a response code 1xx or 2xx encountered during a transaction refusal.

Furthermore, if a response code of 9xx is displayed, we encourage you to contact our technical support team. Thus you will receive additional information concerning the refusal, as it may have originated from either the issuing or processing side of the transaction.

There are several reasons why error -1 occurs but the most likely one is that the card has expired. Check the card expiration date, and, if the card has not expired, then contact the technical support to clarify the reason for the failure.
